DASA Launches Phase 2 of Predictive Cyber Analytics Competition

The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) has launched the second phase of the Predictive Cyber Analytics Competition, which was originally launched in August 2018 to ultimately develop a solution to predict and counter future cyber threats, thereby reducing their likelihood and impact. This second phase seeks to further develop and enhance novel predictive approaches within the military cyber security domain to enable the MOD to better prepare for, respond to and mitigate the impact of cyber-attack.

Proposals may make use of any source of data that a representative military environment could reasonably be expected to have access to. All of the approaches should ideally make predictions that: can consider all adversaries or a sub-set of adversaries; are relevant to the chosen system being defended; can adapt to prioritise mission goals, or continued system function, or safeguard specific system components. Proposals that use Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) in collecting and disseminating data for prediction are highly encouraged.

Submissions are welcome from all organisation types and individuals, with no nationality restrictions. Collaborations between academia and industry are encouraged. Applicants may submit more than one bid to this competition, either as a lead supplier or as a sub-contractor.

Up to £850,000 is available for Phase 2 of this competition. DASA strongly encourages single partner applications to bid under £300,000 and multi-partner applications to bid under £600,000.

DASA anticipates funding up to three proposals in this competition stage for a duration of 12 months, starting in October 2019.

Applications should be submitted online by the 12 August 2019 (midday) deadline.
