Prostate Cancer UK Launch Three New Funding Calls

Prostate Cancer UK is a specialist charitable research organisation and the largest men's health charity in the UK. It has now launched three new funding calls.

The latest round of their Research Innovation Awards is open for submissions. This call funds bold and innovative research projects into the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of prostate cancer. Expressions of Interest to be submitted by 9 September 2019.

Also open to applications is the targeted call ‘Existing Trials: New Answers’. This strategic funding opportunity aims to support projects looking to capitalise on existing data/patient samples available from recently finished or ongoing prostate cancer clinical trials, or from biorepositories, to answer new and important questions facing the prostate cancer community. Submission deadline for proposals is 14 October 2019.

Finally, the Travelling Prize Fellowship scheme offers funding for up to four years to the most promising early career post-doctoral researchers seeking to advance their career in prostate cancer research. Fellowships are for up to £300k and must include a travel placement at another institution (internationally or within the UK) to establish new collaborations and learn new skills and techniques. Deadline for submissions is 18 November 2019.
