Pfizer Global Medical Grants (GMG) support the global healthcare community’s independent initiatives (research, quality improvement or education) to improve patient outcomes in areas of unmet medical need that are aligned with Pfizer’s medical and/or scientific strategies. A GMG Independent Medical Education Grant is a type of grant which consists of Pfizer funding for independent medical education activities or initiatives which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and/or professional performance of a healthcare professional (continuing medical education, continuing health education, continuing education).
In certain clinical areas, specific Requests for Proposals (RFPs) will be posted.
The aim of the '2020 Oncology UK: Continuity in Care for Patients with Cancer During COVID-19 Pandemic' RFP is to provide funding for initiatives that support the educational needs of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients regarding the management of cancer patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Educational programmes to help HCPs meet the rapidly evolving needs of cancer patients during this challenging time will be supported. Programmes should be focused on one or more of the following:
Eligible applicants are healthcare organisations, academic organisations, patient organisations, charities and other organisations with an interest in improving outcomes for patients with cancer.
If the project involves multiple departments within an institution and/or between different institutions/organisations/associations, all institutions must have a relevant role and the requesting organisation must have a key role in the project.
The geographic scope of this RFP is UK only.
The estimated total available budget related to this RFP is £150,000. Individual projects requesting up to a maximum of £50,000 will be
considered (the expected range of grant requests under this RFP is approximately £5,000 to £50,000).
Applications should be submitted by the deadline of 6 October 2020.
