Kate Bement, Communications Manager, The K9 Project
This is the first time I have ever tried to apply for a grant so my employer Chris Kent from The K9 Project suggested I took this course. First the overview of different funding providers helped me gain a clearer idea of which areas to approach. The specific language they use is great to have at hand. Most of all I thought it was great to experience what it would be like to be a funder as it put it in their perspective, making me realise how key it is to stick to the criteria and be clear and concise about detail. For an introduction to understanding the funding process I would recommend to anyone! Thanks – and let's just hope I can now put it into practice and it works!
Lizzie Evans, Funding & Publicity Officer, Headway Shropshire
Thank you for providing me with a very straightforward and yet useful course on grant funding. It was a simple and effective, well thought out course and I am pleased I took it.
Victoria Heneghan, PR & Communications Co-ordinator, Girlguiding North West England
The course was very easy to use and I found it really useful. It covered all the basics of grants and funding and now I feel much more confident about seeking and writing grants for my employer.
Stephanie Wilcock, External Funding Technical Officer, East Riding of Yorkshire Council
I found it was at the right level for me, being fairly new to funding, and it covered all the relevant areas and key terminology. It was very easy to follow and set out clearly in manageable sections – there wasn't too much information in each section. The exercises were useful and the information booklet is also good for future reference and consolidation of knowledge. The section on 'dos and don'ts' and 'why applications fail?' provided some really useful pointers when helping and advising groups with completing applications, etc. I really enjoyed completing the course!
